| The
'two hands' are Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz who formed the company in
1999 with the clear objective of making the best possible shiraz based wines from
prized shiraz producing regions within Australia. Michael Twelftree, initially from a construction background, spent a number of years exporting Australian wine to USA and Asia. Richard Mintz, a chartered accountant, was formerly CEO of one of Australia's leading cooperages in the Barossa Valley, South Australia. With Twelftrees contacts and wine savvy approach and Mintzs management skills and business acumen, the two old friends decided to make some wine together. | |

| TURNAGAIN
VINES was born after the 911 events transpired in New York City. You take stock
of your life after you see a tragedy like that unfold. Our passion is wine and
we wanted to share our passion with others. Our aim is to share the wines that
we discovered and crafted with others who will hopefully find as much enjoyment
in them as we do. In late 2001 we contacted Drew and Rae Noon (Noon Wines) in
McLarenVale, South Australia and expressed our desire to become involved in the
wine family. They put us in contact with there neighbor Leigh Gilligan (Gilligan
and DowieDooleWines) and Andrew Buttery (GemtreeWines) . The business evolved
through this connection and friendships we made that first trip to McLarenVale
in February 2002. | |

| Although
we do not grow grapes here, we do grow, pick and process some of the best berries
in the world. Along with our signature (and very popular!) Blue Zin wine we make
Raspberry, Blueberry Wine, Fireweed Honey Wine (wow!), an amazing Strawberry Wine
and lots and lots of Rhubarb wine. These wines are all made from locally-grown
ingredients. | |
